Full Stack Engineer

The Role

We are looking for passionate engineers that have Node.js/Meteor or Ruby experience. The Full Stack Engineer responsibilities include designing scalable backend systems for incredible web application. This role plays an important part in our company’s development process. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for working with sharded data sets, API’s and streams and be skilled at analyzing database and API performance, creating indexes, and optimizing SQL and no-SQL queires.

Your Daily Activities include

• Design scalable backend infrastructure for incredible web applications
• Work with large data sources, streams and API’s
• Handle sharded data sets and design scalable distributed systems
• Analyze database and API performance, create indexes and optimize SQL and no-SQL queries
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency

Basic Qualifications

• Proven work experience in software development
• Enterprise software development experience desirable
• Experience with JavaScript, NodeJS, and web technologies
• Experience with MongoDB
• Experience working with remote data via RESTful API’s and JSON/XML data streams
• Experience with AWS Lambda, Kinesis and Dynamo DB highly desirable
• Experience with Elixir highly desirable
• Experience with AI service APIs (Watson, TextRazor, etc) is a plus
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of the multifamily industry and the challenges within a management office
• Understanding communication tools like Outlook/MS Exchange, Gmail, SMS and IVRs
• Clear communicator with excellent writing skills
• Must be goal-oriented with a go-getter attitude! “No” only challenges you to keep looking for the “yes”
• Must be able to demonstrate successful experience working remotely
