From the desk of Sina Shekou, Founder and CEO
There are other property management platforms, but they not like us.
We’re here to help property management companies run like modern businesses.
Literally every tool a property management company needs. CRM, AI agents, leasing workflows, maintenance coordination, help desk, resident communications, and a growing app ecosystem. Aptly is a single operating system for the people who run properties.
We build AI property management software that unifies communication, leasing, and operations for multifamily and single-family teams — designed to work alongside your existing PMS instead of forcing a rip-and-replace.
So how did we get here?
Co-founders: Sina Shekou (Founder & CEO) and Adam Silverthorne (Co-Founder & CTO).
Aptly was born out of frustration. Sina spent years watching property management companies duct-tape together a dozen tools that never talked to each other, pay for software built in 2008, and lose deals and residents because their operations couldn’t keep up with their growth.
So we built the platform we always wished existed.
The founding team built and scaled Propertyware, one of the most widely used property management platforms in the industry, to over two million doors. Thirty-plus years of combined experience building PM software taught us exactly what operators need and exactly what legacy platforms get wrong.
That experience didn’t just inform Aptly. It shaped every decision we made from day one.
We started with a core CRM and workflow layer, then kept going. Today Aptly powers leasing, resident and owner relationships, AI automation, integrations, and real-time operations for property management companies across the country. From 1 door to over 700,000 doors.
Why we’re different
A heads up: If you love how most property management software vendors treat you, you probably won’t like us. We do things differently on purpose.
We’ve built and scaled a property management platform before. We know how these systems get built, how they age, and why operators eventually hit a ceiling with them. When we started Aptly, we made a deliberate choice: no more monolithic platforms that try to own everything and integrate with nothing.
Aptly was designed from day one to be open, compatible, and built for AI. We sit above your property management system as an intelligent layer that orchestrates work across your stack, whether that work is done by AI agents, your team, or both. We’re not trying to replace your PMS. We’re built to make everything around it work better together.
We’re building the company we always wanted to work for. That means rejecting the frustration that has somehow become standard in this industry: bloated contracts, slow implementations, support teams that have never touched the product, and vendors who grow by acquiring companies instead of by actually being good.
If it frustrates you as an operator, it frustrates us too. We want to feel like a strategic partner, not another vendor on your invoice. Our philosophy is simple: we treat you the way we’d want to be treated.
We just do the right thing
A few ways that shows up:
No mystery pricing
Our pricing is transparent. You won’t need three calls with a sales rep to figure out what you’ll pay.
No bait and switch
We’re not building Aptly to flip it. This is our life’s work. We’re not going anywhere.
We ship constantly
Our changelog is real. New features, new integrations, new agents. If you come back in a month, there will be something new worth seeing.
The reason we can do all of this is that we grow because of results, not because of a big SDR team cold emailing property management companies. When operators love Aptly, they tell their colleagues at NARPM conferences. That alignment with our customers is what makes this sustainable.
Transparency
You shouldn’t have to guess what you’re getting into.
- Our roadmap is shared with customers. You can see where we’re headed and tell us what to prioritize.
- Our integration marketplace is open. See what we connect to today and what’s coming.
- Our onboarding process is documented. You know what implementation looks like before you sign.
- When we make a mistake, we say so.
If you’re evaluating Aptly, you deserve to make a real decision. Not just about what exists today, but about where this is going and whether we’ll be around long enough for it to matter.
Everything in one place
Sure, one good tool is better than nothing. But one platform that handles your whole operation? That’s the actual win.
Most property management companies run on 6 to 10 disconnected systems. CRM in one place, leasing in another, maintenance in a third, help desk somewhere else. Every one of those disconnections is a gap where leads fall through, residents churn, and operators burn out.
Aptly connects all of it. CRM, leasing workflows, AI agents, resident and owner portals, integrations with your PM software, and more. We have a growing app ecosystem, and we’re not stopping. If property managers need it to run their business, we’re building it.
Pricing that makes sense
Enterprise property management software is priced the way enterprise software always is: based on how much they think they can extract from you, not what it actually costs to deliver.
We don’t do that. Aptly is priced by the user, not the door. If you’re successful on our platform and your portfolio grows, you shouldn’t be taxed for it. Pricing is transparent, fair, and scales with your team, not with your success.
tl;dr
Whether you’re evaluating Aptly for your company or thinking about joining us, we hope you leave understanding one thing: we’re building a generational platform for property management.
This isn’t a staging ground for an exit. This isn’t a feature factory with no soul. We’re building the company we always wanted to work for and the software we’d want to run our own operation on.
Come back in a month. There will be something new worth seeing.
Frequently asked questions about Aptly
What is Aptly?
Aptly is an AI property management software platform — the intelligent operations layer that sits above your property management system (AppFolio, Yardi, Buildium, Rent Manager, RealPage, Entrata, ResMan, DoorLoop and others) and orchestrates communication, leasing, maintenance, and resident workflows with AI agents.
Who founded Aptly?
Aptly was co-founded by Sina Shekou (Founder & CEO) and Adam Silverthorne (Co-Founder & CTO). The founding team previously helped build and scale Propertyware, one of the most widely used property management platforms, to over two million doors.
What does Aptly do?
Aptly unifies the disconnected tools property management companies rely on — CRM, AI voice and chat agents, leasing workflows, maintenance coordination, help desk, resident and owner communications, and an open app ecosystem — into a single operating system that works with your existing PMS.
Does Aptly replace my property management software (PMS)?
No. Aptly is built to sit above your PMS, not replace it. We integrate with AppFolio, Yardi, Buildium, Rent Manager, RealPage, Entrata, ResMan, DoorLoop, and others, then add the intelligent operations and AI execution layer those systems were never designed for.
Who uses Aptly?
Property management companies across the country use Aptly — from operators with a single door to portfolios over 700,000 doors. Our customers span multifamily, single-family, build-to-rent, student, affordable, and mixed-use operations.
How is Aptly different from other property management platforms?
Aptly is open, AI-native, and built to be a strategic partner rather than another vendor on your invoice. Pricing is transparent and per-user (not per-door), the roadmap is shared with customers, and we ship constantly. We were built from day one to integrate with everything and to put AI agents to work on real operational outcomes — not chatbot demos.
How is Aptly priced?
Aptly is priced by the user, not by the door. Pricing is transparent, fair, and scales with your team rather than penalizing portfolio growth. Current pricing is published on the Aptly pricing page.
